Scheme of Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research

 

          Ministry of Culture has introduced the Scheme for ‘Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research’ operative from 1st November, 2009.  As the 15 Visiting Fellowships that will be awarded each year, carry the highest emoluments and facilities possible, only those senior (including retired) professors and researchers, who have already made outstanding contribution in specific domains relating to the 17 Cultural Institutions mentioned in the Scheme, will be considered.  

   All project proposals should be addressed to the Director/Head of the 17 Cultural Institutions where the researcher proposes to base himself/herself for the project.  A copy may be endorsed to the Director, S&F Division, Ministry of Culture, Room No. 318, ‘C’ Wing, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi-110115.

 If sufficient proposals, duly forwarded by the concerned institutions, (after proper appraisal), are received by 31st January, 2010, they would be taken up for consideration by the National Selection Committee, for final selection of the Visiting Fellows, within the current financial year.
